Our hands and fingers can do many things. The fingers are a limb on the human body. We use them everyday. Try going a day with out using your fingers. It would be impossible.
Humans have five fingers. The index, middle, ring, little finger and then the thumb. We use joints, muscles and the brain to move them. A example would be pressing fingers down to type keys. There would be endless examples of what humans can do with fingers. We grasp and pick up things. People pull and lift objects.
Fingers are a very vital part of the human body. One that people should be careful not to lose. In the unfortunate event somebody loses a finger it may be possible to have it replaced with surgery.
It is the human fingers that sets us apart from other animals. The fact that we can do so many things with them makes us special in a way.

Since the beginning of the car, they have consistently been built to go increasingly fast. Not only are there the average cars built for commute, people are also fascinated with car racing, with lightening fast cars built for speed. Dirt road races average about 120 miles per hours, whereas a paved road race can average anywhere from 180 to 220 miles per hour. The average car built to drive to work and drive the family around can top at speeds anywhere from 85 to 115 miles per hour. Not only are the cars built to drive faster, but the speed limits in most places are slowly creeping up as well. No more are the days where 10 to 15 miles per hour is dangerously fast, but as time progresses we are sure to see both the car speed and the speed limit increase.

If you are looking to get a way for a little bit, there are many locations around the world that has luxury villas. These locations offer exceptional features. This often includes incredible views of local scenery, a private pool, either full size or infinity, and a large amount of space. Having a villa allows you to completely unwind and enjoy yourself, without staying in a small, stuffy hotel room that has no special features at all.
Many private, high end hotels actually have a few villas available for rent, just like a standard room. These villas are located at the top of the hotel and is basically a home away from home. The luxury villa rentals are far more expensive than a standard hotel room, as you receive more space and more features with the room. There have always been slang terms within the English language used to define a person, place or thing. The term Bookworm was used to indicate a person who spent a lot of time reading books. This phrase was popular through the early years of this century and started to become obsolete during the 80′s and 90′s. A lot of young people today do not know what this term is in reference to unless they heard it from their parents or grandparents.
People who used to spend a lot of time reading were considered to not have much of a social life. In past decades it was more acceptable to participate in outdoor activities than to spend the majority of your time reading books. Fortunately, this concept has a changed over the years with young people being encouraged to take an interest in reading. Today’s Bookworm often becomes tomorrow’s wealthy entrepreneur.

The question has been pondered what does it mean to be just good friends? A good friend is someone who is there for you when you need a compassionate ear to listen to some of your problems. A good friend is someone who cares about the things that happen in your life. A good friend remembers your birthday and your favorite foods. A good friend doesn’t want romance just companionship. A good friend doesn’t make excuses for not coming to your special event. A good friend is someone you can lean upon when the cares of the world seem to be piling up against you. A good friend is there when you are in need of a kind shoulder to cry on and someone who laughs at your jokes. Being just good friends can be simply sharing a relationship with someone who is simply that, a good friend.

Most fast cars are used for racing purposes only. There are some fast cars on the market today such as the Ford Mustang, and the Chevy Camaro, that people have access to. These are not the fastest cars available, but they are known to be very fast. They are not that expensive either. Most sports cars do have engines in them that are used for racing. The fastest cars in the world cost millions of dollars, and very few people have access to them. You’ll probably never really get to see a car like that one in person ever. They can be researched online though. You will be surprised to see what you find about fast cars. They all have special engines, and require special gas as well. You have to be very careful when driving these types of cars especially if your someone who is not used to them.

In recent years there has been a movement among the buying and selling of consumer goods to help create a better exchange between different countries. This new process is called Fair Trade and is used primarily to increase the amount of money paid to underdeveloped countries. In the past, wealthier nations often took advantage of buying goods from less wealthy nations because they could get them at very low rates.
The problem that disturbed a lot of consumers, was the way the low rates were obtained. A lot of the less wealthy countries were paying workers very little money for the work they did. The Fair Trade movement has worked to stop taking advantage of poorer countries so workers will be paid what their job is really worth. Today consumers can find a lot of different products available as fair trade goods, which ranges from food and beverages to clothing.

When losing one’s marbles you might say “I’ve lost my marbles” it is hard to find a solution to the lost marbles. In my case it has been a missing marble here and a missing marble there my whole life! If I find a marble I am sure to lose another shortly there after. It is almost like the famous tray by the cashier at every gas station, you know the one that has a sign that reads “Have a penny, Leave a penny, Need a penny, Take a penny” It would be nice if there was a tray with marbles to take or leave when needed. It could help solve many of my days of not enough marbles. There would be a large number of happy people in this world if there were extra marbles to get if you were losing yours!

It is becoming increasingly important for people to both limit their energy use and move towards adopting more environmentally-friendly energy technologies as existing non-renewable resources such as coal and oil near their end. With the price of oil being so volatile there is a further financial incentive to shift to green energy. Some of the most widespread examples are solar panels, wind turbines and hybrid car engines that have a reduced need for regular gasoline as they regenerate auxiliary power from braking systems. As with all new technology, however, there is a limited range of products to choose from and they are invariably expensive. Only when green technologies are the sole option will companies be forced to lower their prices and invest their research and development budget exclusively into green technology development. Meanwhile it is down to the consumer to pay a bit more for the piece of mind green energy brings.

Norway is known for it’s beautiful landscapes, friendly locals, and historic places to visit. Two of the more popular places to visit are the Det Kongelige Sloot and the Vikingshiphuset. The Det Kongelige is King Hararld V’s home and while the tickets to view the inside of the home are scarce, you can always watch the changing of the guard in the afternoon. The Vikingshiphuset is a museum for the Viking ships and contains the hulls of 2 of the 3 main Viking ships used in the heyday of the Viking reign; the Oseberg and the Gokstad. It also contains pieces of the third ship, the Tune. It’s amazing to see something so old used frequently still exist today. These are just two of the many attractions that Oslo offers. The Inner Harbour area is a great place to explore and discover new favorites. Come visit Oslo today!

Facebook has become one of the best examples of a real human society. A human society is a group of people who share a virtual territory. Whether we like it or not, we are all separated into various groups on Facebook and the social network is a great way to fully see that. In “real life,” these societies are not very evident and so it is often tough to realize that most people are definitely separated into various “groups.”
Facebook and why we are all separated
You might have 1,000 friends but you will only talk to a small group. This is because there different societies on Facebook and there are different people who like different things. Though everyone is “friends,” not everyone really gets along. This is why most people have a hard time with Facebook because of how different everyone is. One of the best examples of society.

The rain forests of the world now only cover about 6 percent of the earth’s surface, but they once covered 14 percent. This dramatic cut is due to the consumption of timber by governments and logging companies who have no interest in the wide array of benefits that our rain forests have to offer. Many drugs are derived from ingredients found in rain forests and there are many cures to be found in the species of the rain forests. Another imperative benefit we receive from rain forests is the rate at which they recycle carbon dioxide into oxygen. In fact, 40 percent of the earth’s oxygen is produced by tropical rain forests. Rain forests are also one of the best dietary resources we have, with an abundance of fruits, spices and nuts. The rain forest deserves protection as one of our most valuable resources.

Coffee is one of the most brilliant consumer products to have ever existed. It livens up a person, giving them an extra boost of energy. Yes, it can be addicting. Once a person has been hooked, they will habitually feel a need for a coffee break. But the adrenaline rush it provides makes it worth the addiction.
A cup of coffee is similar to a good friend. It is there whenever people need it most. It keeps people company in the middle of the night. It is a reliable study partner. It sits with people while they brainstorm away.
The need for a coffee can be rather strong. Without it, a shaky feeling can sometimes exist. Breakfast becomes dull with the missing cup of coffee. Therefore, do not leave the house without it if you need a coffee.

The New York police department has been accused of reacting too harshly and unfairly to the Occupy Wall Street march over the Brooklyn bridge on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Several thousand protesters gathered for a planned peaceful demonstration to protest the inequality and corporate excess that the financiers working on Wall Street propagate. In particular, the Occupy Wall Street protesters seek to hold the financiers on Wall Street accountable for their hand in the 2008 economic downturn. The Occupy Wall Street march turned sour when some protesters stepped off of the walkway that police warned them to stay on, and continued on the roadway. It is unclear whether protesters were purposely led off of the walkway by the police, in an apparent trap, or whether there was misunderstanding or disobedience. Whatever the case, police manhandled, arrested, and sprayed pepper spray toward some of the protesters that did not comply.

When involved in a car crash, most people are a bit frantic and are unsure of what to do. They should first check with their passengers to ensure that they are okay. If so, then calmly call 911, if the accident is serious and there are injuries. If the accident is nothing more than a minor fender bender, then the person will find that both parties may occur to not get the police involved.
The person should have their insurance information ready and waiting so that they can exchange information and then file a claim with their company in order to get the vehicles involved fixed. If the person does call the police, they will need their registration, along with their drivers license ready for the officer to inspect. Those that are in a car crash should always remember to remain calm so that they do not panic.

There are many children who just love rubber ducks. They can be found at many different places. Rubber ducks are very unique in their own way. They make the perfect bath tub toy, for when your child is taking a bath. They are the most common type of toy that almost all babies love. Rubber ducks don’t just come in yellow. You can find a rubber duck in blue, and even orange. They try to at least make it exciting. They really serve no purpose, but kids definitely get a kick out of them, just like any other toy that they may have. Rubber ducks are cheap, and can be found at your convenience. You can buy them in many sizes. You can buy a small duck, or even a larger one. They do more than what they say they do, but you’ll definitely get a kick out of them.

Throughout the years, some cultures have believed that a solar eclipse is an omen or some other type of sign of impending doom. As it turns out, a solar eclipse happens to be a fascinating phenomenon taking place in space that is observable from Earth. During a solar eclipse, the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, appearing to block out the sun’s light. A solar eclipse can be called “partial” or “total,” depending on the amount of coverage over the sun. Solar eclipses can create a period of time on Earth where it is as dark as night in the middle of the day. Although many people in the past have been frightened by this display in the sky, it isn’t any more than the celestial bodies lining up in a row. The next total solar eclipse will not be visible from the United States until 2017.

With so many different types to choose from, it can be hard to decide which bulb best suits you. If you purchase your light bulbs from your local home improvement retailer, let the sales representative know what you’re looking for. Give them details about the room that you want to put the bulb in and the ambiance you want to create with your lighting. They will be able to guide you towards the best product. If you just want to get your feet wet and start with a simple energy saving bulb, try the halogen or fluorescent bulb. Up until the year 2009, programming provided by cable and satellite providers could either be digital or analog based. However, the federal government mandated all signals be switched over to digital, in order to make room for the ever growing mobile device market, as television signals interfered and used up these wireless signals. With the mandate in effect, an individual looking to watch digital television had three different options to go about viewing the programming. The first two were to obtain digital cable or digital satellite packages. The third option, if the individual used an antenna to view stations, was to obtain a digital converter box. This converter box received digital programming through an antenna, then converted it over to an analog signal. The box then connected to the television and send the new analog signal into the television, allowing the individual to continue watching analog, instead of digital programming.

Free phone calls can be made anywhere depending on the type of phone company that you have, as well as the plan.Almost all phone calls are considered free now a days if they are not long distance. This differs between a land line phone and a cell phone. Free phone calls for a cell phone may not be the same for a land line phone. Free phone calls can be long distance as long as it is still in the country. There really are not any companies that offer free phone calls to another country. You will still end up paying certain cents per minute of each call. You can always get a calling card if you wish to call outside the country, and use it for those purposes only. Free phone calls are very common and you can make use of them as well. It holds many big advantages.

We often take the telephone and the conversations we have for granted these days, but without the innovative, technological mind of Alexander Graham Bell our growth in communications would have been seriously delayed. In 1876, Mr. Bell took the initiative to test out his new telephone and called his assistant, Mr. Thomas Watson, who heard him loud and clear and responded to the call to come see him. Without this first, elementary call we wouldn’t have Skype, cell phones or even the internet.
Mr. Bell’s forward thinking helped him teach the deaf about sound before he invented the telephone, making his vision of “friends conversing with each other without leaving home” a reality before his death in 1922. Today, we pick up the phone for a telephone conversation without thinking twice about what it took before this convenience became popular in homes across the world, before Bell had a vision.

Since the Telecommunications Act of 1996 was signed into law there have been vast changes in how we communicate with one another. We’ve gone from mostly land line telephones and hand carried letter mail to electronic digital formats; e-mail, voice over internet, text messaging and mobile phones.
Access to one another has never been so easy and pervasive. Our lives have been truly altered by advancements made in telecommunication. We have witnessed the convergence of media, telephone, computing, television and radio, all which can be accessed via computers or smart phones. We live in an entirely connected world, where virtually no one is inaccessible. We share our most personal moments; pictures and videos in an instant. Business communications have been revolutionized and millions of new companies have been created via the worldwide web.
Telecommunications will continue shape our lives and change the way we work with one another.
